Feb 8th Face - Phphphffft!!!

I created an Ellen DeGeneres face for my challenge yesterday and then today she addressed her critics from a group called One Million Moms who don't want her to be the spokesperson for JCPenney. My mouse face today is giving the 'raspberry' to the narrow-minded haters (from One Million Moms) who feel that way.

Ellen and JCPenney ROCK!!! :)

  1. Great faces! Are they all done on your computer? Using what program?

    Fabulous so far!

  2. Hi Eva!
Thanks for your kind comments and for visiting, Eva! :) Most of these faces are done using Inkscape (free at inkscape.org), although a few of them - like the mouse - were originally created in PaintShop Pro, but I changed/updated them in Inkscape. Inkscape's an amazing program. And if you come back and look at my project later today, you'll see how life-like you can make digital images look (from scratch!), and yes, all of my projects are done on my computer. I don't have a steady enough hand to use paints/pens/markers, and I've never enjoyed using colored pencils. I used to do a lot with scrapbooking and paper piecing, but I don't have that kind of time anymore. Chalk is ok (since I enjoy blurring and shading), but I find it messy. When my art is contained within a computer, I don't have to worry about cleaning up after myself, and making fixes/changes is easy as pie. :)
